Privacy Policy

Download requests

When you request a download, we store your email address, the selected installer and its product, version, platform, and architecture, the time of your request, and the version of the product-update notice shown to you in our private content-management system. These records help us manage product downloads and product-update emails. A request does not tell us whether you finished downloading or installed the software.

You don’t need an account. We don’t sell your email address, store it in your browser, or send it to our website analytics service.

Product updates

Submitting the download form signs you up for Hella! product updates. We’ll only use your email to send those updates, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

We aren’t sending product-update emails yet. When emails begin, each will include an unsubscribe link. We keep the notice version and submission time with your download request.

File delivery and abuse prevention

Installers are delivered through DigitalOcean Spaces. When you follow a download link, DigitalOcean receives the network information needed to serve the file, such as your IP address. We don’t include your email in download URLs.

The website temporarily uses hashed email and IP values to limit repeated submissions. These limits expire after ten minutes, and IP addresses are not added to download records.

Website analytics

We use PostHog to understand visits, traffic sources, and interactions such as page views and clicks. PostHog receives page URLs, referrer information, browser and device details, and the network information needed to receive these events, including your IP address. It uses cookies and browser storage to recognize a browser across visits.

We don’t link analytics to download email addresses or create identified user profiles. Text and element attributes are masked in automatically captured interactions, and session recording is disabled. We don’t use advertising trackers. Browser preferences

The support section remembers preferences such as your light or dark theme and the state of its navigation using storage in your browser. These preferences stay on your device and aren’t sent to us. You can remove these preferences and analytics storage by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.

Support search

Searching the support guides happens in your browser using a downloaded search index. We don’t receive or store your search queries.

Other sites and services

Links to other websites, including Stability AI, take you to services with their own privacy policies. This policy covers the Hella! website; it does not describe data sent from a plugin to a third-party service when you use that service.
